About
Coming soon! A website to challenge Christ-followers to see how God responds to the prayers of His people.
What are PrayerWEBS?
We define the term PrayerWEBS as 40 day social networks of Christ-followers who pray in agreement for a specific purpose or event. We provide churches and ministries with resources to create PrayerWEBS for mission trips, revivals, crusades, and evangelistic meetings. Because some churches have members who are not active on the internet, we provide both web and print-based materials.
Who Art in Heaven?
We also publish a resource entitled Who Art in Heaven? In this daily column we explore what the Bible tells us about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. At 350 words or less, this column will be available as an RSS feed for Churches, ministries, and individuals to add this to their websites via RSS and social networking. Who Art in Heaven? will help readers meditate on God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit at the beginning of their prayer time. This service will be a free resource from PrayerWEBS.com
Who Writes for PrayerWEBS.com?
Bonnie Kirk is the founder PrayerWEBS.com, and is the editor and author of PrayerWEBS material and website content. Bonnie began writing and co-writing materials for churches in 2002, including prayer guides for 2 mission trips and 1 church relocation. She also contributed supplemental teaching ideas to Extra! for Students at Lifeway.com in 2003.
Bonnie was a PK (preacher’s kid), raised in the home of a bivocational church planter before ”bivocational” or “church planter” became popular terms in ministry. She and her husband planted churches in Maryland and Georgia. They also served as chaplains for a choir with more members than all 3 of the new churches. Bonnie has taught and/or facilitated Bible studies at 7 churches. She has served as Sunday School Director, Women’s Ministry Director, and Preschool Director. She also served 9 churches as a pianist, beginning while still in elementary school.
Bonnie has also worked in the public and private sectors. She began her career in various positions with health-related companies, including two hospitals, a university research facility, and an insurance provider. As a contractor for state and federal clients Bonnie managed project teams as large as 150. Some of her projects were multi-year, multi-million dollar contracts. She also wrote and managed the development of multimedia training programs. For 10 years she was a training consultant for clients such Delta, Cingular Wireless, Arthur Andersen, the Internal Revenue Service, and numerous small and mid-size businesses.
Bonnie has used computers from palm-sized to mainframe, and has been active on the Internet since the early 1990′s. In addition to PrayerWEBS.com, she created a website to help parents and guardians become better advocates for their special needs children and adults. This website is being redesigned and will be re-launched in Fall, 2009.
Bonnie is an avid reader and loves to study the Bible. She sat on her father’s lap in his Greek and Hebrew study groups at seminary. However, she doesn’t remember much from those study groups. Now she spends a lot of time with paper and online copies of Strong’s Concordance and an Interlinear Bible.
Bonnie is active in her church, where she teaches a Bible Study and knits prayer shawls with Megan’s Knitters. She and her husband have a 20 year old son.
